History
The Clark County American Red Cross was formed in 1917 as a chartered chapter. Several years later in 1995 the Clark County American Red Cross annexed
Dallas , Grant, Hot Spring and Pike Counties to form what is currently known as the Diamond Valley Chapter.
About our Chapter
The Diamond Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, as one of the nation’s premier humanitarian organizations, is dedicated to helping people in need throughout our jurisdiction of Clark, Dallas, Grant, Hot Spring and Pike counties. It depends on generous contributions of time, blood, tissue and money from the American Public to support its lifesaving services and programs. While closely associated with the federal government in the promotion of its objectives, the Red Cross is an independent, volunteer-led organization, financially supported entirely by voluntary public contributions.
An nine member, all volunteer Board of Directors leads the organization. The Chapter currently has two full time paid employees and over 200 volunteers throughout its jurisdiction.
The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
